Katerina Alexiadi (Athens, Greece) graduated from the Department of Philosophy and Pedagogy of the University of Crete. She has attended postgraduate studies in the University of Thessaloniki (Philosophy–Pedagogy–Sociology). She has followed the two years course of Music and Movement Education Orff-Schulwerk offered by Moraitis School and she holds an MA in Theatre Studies–Musicology of the University of Athens/Theatre Studies Department. She has studied classical singing, harmony of music and classical and contemporary dance. She has participated in performances inspired by Euripides’ tragedies (The Trojan Women, Bacchae, Medea), as a member of the theatre group “Ops” of Katerina Papaiacovou. She has worked with theatre groups for children and she has organized theatre performances. She has been a member of the Organisation Committee of International Conferences about theatre and music education.She has been the President of theHellenic Orff-Schulwerk Association for the period 2009 - 2013.She is a secondary school Language teacher in the Musical High School of Pallini Greece. From September 2014 she is the Cultural Project Coordinator in the Directorate of Secondary Education of Eastern Attica. She attends the MA in Cultural Management in Panteion University in the Department of Communication, Media and Culture. She is a member of the editing committee of the “Education & Theatre” Journal. She is member of the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) Newsletter work team.
